I am very happy that I ignored the bad review (mostly because it belonged to a different product and apparently they are not as identical as the reviewer imagined :)) I don't see any problems with the materials, used the massager 3 times last night with very pleasant results.
The shiatsu thing does a pretty good job on my neck (so it can move again), the heat is strong enough and vibration puts me to sleep. What else do you expect from a $30 gadget? I am buying one for my uncle Leonid.
P.S. Try it upside down - you might like it. Literally, upside down (the massager, not yourself).
Update March 2012. My neck massager is officially retired (given to my younger daughter), because the iJoy-2310 Robotic Massage� Chair I bought 3 months ago put it out of business. Best $400 I spent since the plane ticket to America.
